ROCKET
The one that started it all.
The Revolutionary Bicycle is designed to deliver maximum torque to the road. By coordinating upper body strength with pedaling a rotational scissoring cadence is established. This bicycle can be timed so that when either leg is pushed the handlebars are pulled, delivering a perfect power stroke for anyone, even building strength in a physically challenged leg.
Overall cruising, range and speed, can be improved with a workout for the entire body, versus concentrating only on the legs.
Maintaining a comfortable position on a bicycle is often a concern. The Bicycle is a crank forward semi-recumbent design, with a wide comfortable seat, low enough to the ground to allow the stopped
bicycle rider to maintain equilibrium, when the handlebars cock the mechanism for departure. One swift scribe back and you lever forward.
A drive rod attaches to the trapezium, or 4 bar linkage, at a point that is aligned on an axis that only rotates while the handlebars are turned, but does not arc. By combining pedaling and a rocking motion of the handlebars, via this drive rod, onto a crank and chainwheel thus the bicycle is propelled.
"This is the first time I’ve ever seen such an advantageously variable geometry on bearings, and all for $2,495 .00!"
- Seat and handlebar geometry are adjustable for maximum comfort.
- Revolution Bicycle Driveline Componentry is currently being manufactured at 1827 Burnett Boulevard, Wilmington, NC.
- Aircraft grade aluminum and stainless steel utilized in this construction offer both strength and corrosion resistance.
- 8-ABEC-7 ball bearing assembly suspend the four bar linkage which holds the handlebar and attaches to the bicycle crown.
- 2 Delrin and stainless steel ball bearing assemblies attach the driverod yoke to the mechanism. These bearings rotate about stainless steel support shafts which are threaded and locked into the aluminum housings.
- The drive rod end of the yoke is attached by a threaded cap to a hardened pin and needle bearing assembly.
- Steel sprockets and chain protected by aluminum guard discs finish the mechanical connection.
